Give Away: Go Go Babyz Infant Cruizer

I am visiting my sister for Thanksgiving. And since I am going for over a week and a half I am flying there and back without my husband.

Here is My Thanksgiving Travel Checklist:
Suitcases
Pack N Play- My toddler still needs the "cage-ness" of a crib to sleep in.
Car seat- I have to have one of these once I get to where I am going. Renting one is almost the cost of buying one!
Stroller- I hate to bring it just for getting through the airport, but since I am pregnant and can't carry my 34 pound toddler in the Ergo like I used to I gotta have a stroller.
Diaper bag- Stuffed to the gills with diapers, snacks galore and some new toys and (crossing my fingers) a Video IPOD with Disney's Cars ready to play.

I don't know about you but that sounds like a heavy, heavy load. And considering the extra baggage costs these days I am not excited about all the gear I need to travel with. Suitcases can become Suitcase. I figured out that I can borrow a Pack n Play from one of my sister's friend. And there is no getting around the car seat and diaper bag. BUT with Go Go Babyz Go Go Kidz Travelmate I can cross the stroller off the list!

With Go Go Babyz Kidz Travelmate I can turn my carseat into a mode of transportation for my child! Jack will be rollin from the taxi to the airplane in the comfort of his carseat while I curbside check my one suitcase, swing my diaper bag over one shoulder, wheel through security and the terminal, and gate check the car seat with Travelmate wheels before we board. Its genius I tell you.

There is no need to remove the Travelmate for use in the car, or the plane for that matter. ** Correction: The Infant Cruizer and Travelmate should be removed before installing the car seat into a car as it has not been tested in car safety tests.** If you have a seat for your child (lucky you!) you can wheel the Travelmate and car seat right onto the plane and buckle it into your child's airplane seat. While the Travelmate is narrow enough to roll down the aisle, your car seat is probably be too wide so you will have to take your child out and have an attendant carry the carseat to your airplane seat.

If you don't have a seat for your child- that's me this upcoming trip- you can gate check the carseat so its ready and waiting when you get off the plane. Go Go Babyz makes a travel cover that I would suggest if you have one of those cutsie $$ covers. Or you can do like my travel expert sister and bring along two heavy duty hefty bags. She slips one over the car seat and ties at the bottom and pulls another over the seat from the bottom and ties at the top.

Once you arrive at your destination, you simply strap your child in their car seat, wheel them to the rental or relative's car and lift the car seat into the car. Since Jack is pretty hefty and the Britax is a fatty car seat I may need some help- or remove him from his seat first. But once you have the wheels on they can stay on.

When we rent a car we can't carry the carseat, Jack, and our luggage through the city to the rental place, so John has to come back to the apartment to pick us and our stuff up. And even then, I have to use a cart to get Jack's carseat downstairs and out to the car on the street. With the Travelmate I can easily wheel Jack in his carseat to the car or rental location.

Lifting babies in and out of cars reminds me of how convenient this product is for city dwellers and any of you who are planning to visit a big city. Usually, we just hop in and hold on to our kids for dear life while the taxi careens around town. For days when you are in and out of a cab the Travelmate makes the carseat more transportable. I wouldn't use it if I had a lot of walking though since its just not made for the city streets.

While the Travelmate may not be a substitute for a stroller out and about in the city, the Infant Cruizer with its 12 all-terrain wheels is. Visit a big city and bring your carseat with Infant Cruizer and you will be set. Take it in and out of taxis or your rental car and wheel your child around your tourist spot. Its nice to be on vacation with less gear and knowing your child is safe when you are in the car.

Go Go Kidz Travelmate
The Travelmate and Cruizer are both easy to get on and off the carseat should you need to. I have to say that at first it took me a while to figure out the directions and how to put the thing on. But once I did get it put together the instructions seemed really simple in hindsight. The unit can be attached and removed very easily.
The Travelmate is steerable with one hand- like they advertise. But, it is hard to push over bumps (like greater than 1 1/2 inches). So, rather than pushing it in front of you, just swing it around behind you and pull over the bump. The handlebar is adjustable to different lengths and pushes up and down easily with the touch of a button- just like a rolling suitcase.

The Travelmate is made for toddler car seats and is compatible with most car seats. Check out the list here.

Infant Cruizer
What I love about the Infant Cruizer is that its a product you can use from birth on. It is made for infant AND toddler car seats (with an adapter). The Infant Cruizer also has much larger all terrain wheels that make it great for use out and about and make going over bumps easier and smoother. While it makes the whole unit bulkier than the Travelmate, when you compare it to a car seat compatible stroller the carseat with Infant Cruizer is much lighter than a car seat compatible stroller, more compact. Best of all, unlike any stroller, the Infant Cruizer can be used with a toddler seat when you use the adapter. I would also want to wipe off the wheels before I put the carseat with Cruizer into the car.You can use the Infant Cruizer with the following infant car seats:
  • Graco Snugride
  • Graco Safe Seat (Step 1)
  • Peg Perego Primo Viaggio
  • Britax Companion
  • Combi Centre DX & Shuttle

Oh! I really want this.. if I don't win I think it will be on my Christmas list. My 10 month old has already been on 8 flights to visit my family and we are going back again next month... this is SO SMART!

Love it!

All family on both sides are out of state and my son is the first grandchild on one side. Needless to say we travel, A LOT. Please save me from lugging around a car seat with dragging a diaper bag and attempting to corral an 18 month old.

I definitely need this for holiday travel - please!

We've tirelessly traveled across the country with our almost 2 year old twice. It was a disaster - but ready to go again! At least this would help in the airport!

This would be such a great item to have. Not just for the airport but anytime we are traveling and need the function of a stroller but don't have room to bring one. Would be great to use for the toddler or the baby to be.

I need it I need it!! We live in an apartment and carrying the baby + groceries + diaper bag + mail to the elevator from the parking garage leaves bruises on my arms. (seriously, from the carseat handle) I was hoping someone would invent something like this!

Jenna said...

I do not need this, but I would love to give it to a friend of mine. They would really benefit from having this. Thanks for the giveaway!

Wow! That would be great for traveling. Not just this holiday season, but all year. Airports are not kid friendly, and this would be a wonderful way to navigate through security and through long lines, without having to worry. Stress free travel for sure.

I haven't tried to travel since giving birth. This would make me feel more confident about getting to my destination in one piece!

I really need one of those for our trip with 2 kids under 4 this winter. It would be a HUGE help getting through the airport with all our gears and stuff and 2 very active kids. I'm crossing my fingers and toes on this one... Thanks for the chance to win this, especially as everyone's struggling to get by this Holiday season with a tighter budget.

I apologize for this....please discard my extra entry. I forgot to put my email info in the previous comment.

Am I insane, I'm taking me 3 year old to New York with me this next time for the parade. (Just happened to work that way!) While my husband and daughter stay home! I need all the extra hands I can get, and this would be great for the car seat because we are renting a car and driving to Connecticut to eat at my brothers after the parade! Writing all that, I feel totally insane. Maybe I should cancel.

We're about to have baby #4 in a few months and we would LOVE this for traveling. Traveling when our twins were babies was very difficult. We had all that extra stuff to take. This would have been perfect. I'd love to have this for the newbie. It would be a life-saver.

We would be so blessed if we were to win this, we have a new born (6 weeks old) and don't have a sroller/ travel system. So we carry the babs in the car seat and even though he's 8.9 lbs, your arms soon start to ache! we also put him in a shopping cart for safety but then theres no room for the goods!!!

thanks you and good luck to all who have entered. and thanks Citrus for the chance you have given us all to win.

We have one for our toddler and I get stopped and asked about it all the time. Recently, I was wondering how I would be able to convince BabyDaddy that another one would work for the infant as well. Whether we win or not, I'll show him this post! What a wonderful upgrade to an already terrific product!

I so need this. I have two boys and maneuvering the airport is not always easy. This would help.

The only time that I have traveled with my daughter was when she was about 4 months old. She slept most of the time and was always in her ring sling, close to me. She is now 17 months and we are going to be traveling over the holidays. The thought of taking this curious little one in the airport is frightening as she is super fast and loves to run off and explore. This would be the perfect solution to keep her safe and in one spot and we make it from one destination to the other! m_huston(at)hotmail(dot)com

We currently live in the U.S., but all of our family is in Canada. Anytime we travel home with the kids, we have to fly. This product would be a life-saver when we have to go through the airport with our three kids.

My sister is due any day with baby # 3. The two older children are two boys 3 and 2 and they are handfuls. My sister is also a nurse and is building a house so she is rather busy. This would make getting the three children in and out of the car easier or even me (I am the on call aunt).

Wow! This would be so infinitely useful for us, I didn't even know such things existed! We live an hour, by plane, from Little Man's grandma and grandpa...driving is through the mountains, so we fly when possible. He's the first grandbaby, so we visit often. And it just happens to fit our carseat, yay! Anything that lightens the travel load is extremely welcome! Please enter me if I'm eligible (I'm from Canada), thank you!

I've been trying to figure out a way to travel solo with my two daughter (3 and 1). Having to lug the overstuffed diaper backpack, at least one car seat plus push a stroller with lil' sister and keep my hands on big sister just seemed impossible. With this I could totally manage since I wouldn't have to lug the car seat. And anyone who's lugged a car seat knows how awkward and pesky they are!!
thanks!
