A few years ago, some of my favorite commercials were the ones warning against identity theft. Did you ever see the one with the old grandma talking in a deep mans voice? Hilarious--unless you're the one who's identity has been stolen. My wallet was stolen a few weeks ago, and the probability of someone else using my name, and ruining my credit became a frightening reality. Those commercials kept going through my mind, and I keep imagining a picture of me, talking in someone else's voice.
With the loss of my old wallet, I turned to a new Kena Kai wallet (the silver lining of the situation). I love my DataSafe Italian Leather Credit Card Wallet. I have the Blue. So stylish! This handsome wallet comes in an embossed Italian leather, and is good-looking. But what makes this wallet so special is the exclusive DataSafe™ Technology.
This patent-pending technology uses multiple layers of radio-frequency (RF) shielding material to protect the personal information stored on your credit cards, e-passports, and soon driver's licenses. RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) has been used in other places for a while and is starting to catch on here. In Asia you can scan your metro card just by putting your purse on top of the turn-style. The good ol' US of A is jumping on the band wagon, and soon more and more of our personal information will be stored on RFID embedded items, such as our credit cards and passports.
With this technology comes the risk or more data being susceptible to 'wireless theft'. But these DataSafe wallets by Kena Kai will protect the information from wireless theft. Kena Kai has a patent-pending luxury line of Wallets and Passport Wallets for men and women. Kena Kai also has notebook sleeves, ID holders, and Ipod cases. How's that for a peace of mind.
Kena Kai has thought about a lot of details. For example, the clever design of my particular wallet allows me to store my business cards in the middle section of the wallet so that they are accessible without exposing my credit cards. My wallet also features two convenient flip-out EZ-Access panels for your license and/or transit pass. When opened, these panels allow a bus or subway pass to transmit while still in the wallet. Simply flip-up the panel so your card can be read, then flip it back down into the “secure” position.
Who wants a hand in keeping their identity secure?
